About Us

Bloody Bens mission is to create drinks that are anything but ordinary.

It started in 2017 with a Bloody Mary Mix – the ingredient for perfect Bloody Marys – and at the end of 2018 we started making Gin too.

The Bloody Mary Mix was created and perfected at Ben’s Canteen, a neighbourhood hangout in SW London which was famous for Brunch.

After years of customers asking for the unique, herby, spice mix to be bottled for home use, we did exactly that, launching in time for Christmas 2017. Each bottle contains all the Bloody Mary ingredients necessary to make a banging Bloody at home. Note, it’s Vegan, Gluten Free and Non-Alcoholic.

Typically, Bloody Marys are all too average, our Bloody Mary Mix solves that problem. Simply pour 25ml into Tomato Juice for a Virgin Mary and then add Vodka/Gin for a Bloody Mary. No more scrabbling around the fridge or delving into the depths of your cupboards to find the right ingredients and no more worrying about balancing the flavours. One shot of Bloody Bens Bloody Mary Mix is all you need.

For the Gin, we have a small Copper Still where we hand craft in small batches, typically 60 bottles at a time. We started distilling in Earlsfield, South West London (we were Earlsfield’s first ever Gin) and have now made the short journey to Nightingale Lane, SW12. Find us in the downstairs section of the brilliant bottle shop, The Wine Twit. Technically, this is Balham but it’s also a short walk to Clapham South & Clapham Common and Wandsworth Common and Tooting is close by too – a truly SW London Gin.

Our first Gin, indeed our Signature Gin, is inspired by Mallorcan dreaming and London living. It’s a traditional Juniper forward London Dry Gin with notes of Orange and Honey. It’s all about escapism, dreaming, and sunny vibes. It also helps make cracking Negronis.

Our second Gin, is our Pink Gin which is inspired by Wimbledon Tennis (just up the road from our original micro distillery), tasting of Strawberries & Cream, it’s a celebration of British Summertime, whatever the time of year.

BLOODY BENS GIN

Bloody Bens Gin is made on a small Copper Still in Balham, South West London. Find us on Nightingale Lane, downstairs at The Wine Twit, a short walk from Clapham and Wandsworth Common and a 10 min drive from our original location in Earlsfield. From this Micro Gin Distillery we hand craft small batches of Gin that are anything but ordinary.

Our Signature Gin is inspired by Mallorcan dreaming and London living. A traditional Juniper forward London Dry Gin with notes of Orange and Honey to give it a deliciously distinctive taste and to help make cracking Negronis.

Every sip delivers a taste of what memories are made of. Garnish with an Orange slice and, if you’re feeling fancy, a sprig of Lavender.

Equally great straight up, as a G&T or in a Cocktail. Salud!

Just add 25ml of Mix to Tomato Juice for a delicious Virgin Mary and then add Gin/Vodka for the perfect Bloody Mary.
